How big is your team? Is it just you? If you're an individual we'd probably recommend just going with folk over Copper: efficient.deals/folk (make sure to grab the discount there if you give it a shot). But yeah, Motion is not a CRM, they are a project management/task/calendar/daily planner tool. CRM is a totally separate category.

I tried both Copper and Folk via your links and both have great features. UI/UX of Folk seems smoother so leaning towards that, and they don’t have contact limits which is good. Do you know how well I can integrate Folk with ConvertKit? And if so, what’s the best triggers/actions to set up via Zapier, and/or other ways to best set them up? Looking to have as seamless a tech stack as possible as we build this mission up. Love what you’re doing, keep up the good work 🙏

Sounds like a good call my friend! And glad you referenced Zapier, you're already on-top of your game! Have worked far more with the Copper API and Zapier connector, but in looking at folk, I'd probably recommend the folk "Person Custom Field Updated" trigger: Triggers when a person custom field (for example tag, status, text, assignee) is updated. Either just have a tag added as "subscriber" to which can trigger it, and then you'll have a filter step that only continues if the field contains subscriber (and, importantly, don't continue if either {{date subscribed exists or ConvertKit URL exists}} - will explain what that means and why in the next paragraph). What's important though is after you have the action of adding them to ConvertKit, do a folk person update and either have it update a "date subscribed" field or "ConvertKit URL" so that is logged back to folk. That way if you update the person record again, it won't try adding it to ConvertKit again since folk (your CRM) knows that the integration has already been ran, if that makes sense?

I tried setting up via your points, although it seemed to make more sense to have the Trigger to be from ConvertKit rather than Folk, as that's where people will be opting in to my list from - Have I got this wrong? If I do the Trigger to be from Folk, then I have to update data in ConvertKit, rather than the other way around. Thanks a lot for the detailed help, appreciate you going the extra mile!

Oh, no we don’t use it really (only when Instagram asks if we want to also publish to our Facebook page we say yes). The reason is because our audience isn’t on there! But Buffer and all the other platforms work with Meta too!

So probably not going to do a video on this, that said, we used OBS, but Steamlabs OBS is definitely a bit more user-friendly with initial setup. @@efficientapp i use mac air m1 , so just small monitor, but use arc, it takes up the entire mac frame, so i quit it :) i think it's suitable with large monitor

Wait, really? I use a Mac Air M2 and I just press CMD + S to show/hide the sidebar depending on if I want more horizontal screen real estate or not. While not docked I typically just leave the sidebar on the hidden hover mode though which gives me full screen real estate and even more vertical real estate since I don't have tabs and bookmarks below them. Have you tried that?

Yep, easy one! Click on the task and in the top-right corner of the task you can change the workspace and the project (if you want it in a project). You can definitely change it after creating it though 💯

Haha our tag line isn't "no BS software reviews" for nothing 😄 Glad you enjoyed it! In terms of what you're looking for, Buffer would be the best if you're okay to compromise on it missing some formatting features (IG, Tiktok, Meta, YT). Although don't think they have Google Business. Buffer does also have a central inbox for comments, mentions, etc (maybe not reviews and market place). It might do 80% of what you need, which might be enough to make you more efficient but then you'll need to supplement for where there are limitations! Do you think you'll give it a shot?

💯 do you have any influence over giving another tool a shot? Curious how you stumbled upon this video, or if you're just browsing for the heck of it? Guessing you have a pretty large team?

We've found them to be quite different in more specific ways. Spark is good for individuals, but when truly working with a team, Superhuman is a better experience. We actually did a full comparison on our site here: efficient.app/compare/superhuman-vs-spark If the cost is a major concern though then I get it. That said, for a business to justify the extra $25/mo is a no-brainer in the time savings in our experience.

Also not sure if you’d know this but would Asana integrate with a crm like RepCard? We use it for door to door sales and I think it would be really beneficial to capture all the leads generated in RepCard to Asana for visibility and tracking purposes. Thanks for the help!

So you could integrate Asana and Motion using Zapier, although we'd recommend switching to Motion versus trying to integrate the two (you'll get a way better experience). We actually used Asana for 6 years before switching to Motion and they now have a full import from Asana functionality. Same thing with the CRM recommendation, so long as you're using a CRM that has an API and Zapier integration for example. Haven't heard of RepCard, but any of the CRMs we mention in our CRM comparison video have an API and would allow you to integrate with Motion technically: efficient.yt/crm

We tried it for a bit and it felt somewhat kludgy, so we didn't stick with it. Don't 100% remember what the reason for getting rid of it was at the time (this video was shot 6 months ago), but we definitely tried it and decided to not even include it in the video. Just didn't work well for us.

Copper still has projects (don't use), but you can use opportunities (now Pipelines) to create processes, that's totally fine! (Maybe they've disabled the old projects now for new accounts), either way, new pipelines area, yes, definitely go ahead using it to manage a job process 👌 Appreciate the nice comment-Here to help if anything else comes up!

We don't really review enterprise software much at the moment. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an incredibly dated CRM that companies are typically using because they've been using it for a decade prior. If you're a newer company considering CRM solutions or a team of less than thousands of employees, no, you shouldn't be using Microsoft Dynamics 365, there are far better options available on the market and there's very little that D365 has going for it. Not all that fun covering a tool like that as we'd simply never recommend it for a team to use.

We have deeply vetted ClickUp, we just can't include everything in a comparison video. If you go to the ClickUp review on our site, you'll get more context: efficient.app/apps/clickup Interesting to hear that it feels like a paid ad because we're recommending a tool over its counterparts for good reason. Can't speak to the errors you've gotten though, maybe write to support? I have 3 calendars connected no problem, but yeah that's not super ideal for that to be your initial experience. Maybe it's due to an ad block or something in your browser? I always disable ad blocking services when first signing up to new tools just in-case. How has it worked for you? Have you had a chance to try it out? Or did you just delete your account after hitting that bug?

I actually used Shortwave for 6 months or so after being an avid Inbox user (saddened when Google killed it off). And it's decent, but in recent times of trying it, I just haven't been super impressed. It just feels a bit less modern and had been a bit kludgy at times at least on mobile. Can understand the appeal of it though for sure. Surprised you like it better than Superhuman though! Splits function as bundles in Superhuman, and have also been quite impressed with the AI search + summaries, haven't felt it being slow at all. Might look into comparing in the future, will add it to the list, just wasn't the most impressed with it last I personally evaluated it is all.

As the good ol' saying goes, "if it aint broke, don't fix it!" Sounds like Hootsuite is working for your needs 🙌 You're right, going into the phone app is a lot of work, it's just worth it for us for RUclips since it's the channel we want access to full-features for.

Would not recommend Cloze, it's an older/dated CRM. Put it this way, there's a reason we don't cover Cloze on our channel (or website: efficient.app) and it's because Cloze doesn't meet the criteria bar for software we're open to evaluating (which in and of itself should be a red flag).
